Create Your Own Personal Template
What is a Personal Template?
A Personal Template is a pre-designed workflow or a set of interconnected cards that you've created and saved for future use. It acts as a blueprint, allowing you to quickly deploy a proven structure without rebuilding it from scratch. You can easily identify templates by their distinctive blue icon below. This feature enables you to turn your most effective workflows into reusable assets.
Tips
Think of creating a template as a powerful "save to clipboard" or "snippets" feature from entire workflow segments.

How to Create Your Own Template
Transforming a successful part of your workflow into a reusable template is straightforward
Step 1: Select a Card or Series of Cards On your existing board, select the specific card or an entire flow of connected cards that you wish to turn into a template.
Step 2: Initiate Template Creation Once selected, look for the "Create Template" option in the toolbar.

Step 3: Edit Your Template You will be redirected to a dedicated template editing board. This is a private space where only you, the creator, can access and fine-tune the details of your template. Here, you can touch up descriptions, ensure all components are properly configured, and prepare it for publication.
Backward Compatibility
Updating a template will not automatically update old workflows that were created using a previous version of that template. Workflows initiated from older template versions will remain unchanged.
Step 4: Publish Your Template Once satisfied, locate the "Publish Template" option, typically in the top-right corner of the template editing board. You will be prompted to provide a Template Name and a concise Template Description before publishing it for your personal use or sharing within your team space.

How to Find Your Template?
Within the Board (for Usage): When you are working inside any board, you can quickly access and select templates for immediate use. Look for the template icon or option, typically located in the top-right corner of the board interface. This will open a sidebar or pop-up displaying available templates for quick insertion into your current workflow.

From the Home Page (for Editing): To manage or edit templates you've created, navigate to the "My Assets" section on your Aerogram Home page. This centralized area lists all your personal templates, allowing you to easily find, modify, or publish them as needed.

Managing Template Permissions (Card Permissions)
When creating templates, you can define how users interact with the individual cards within that template by setting "card permissions." This controls what information is visible or editable when someone uses your template:
Show All: Users can see all content within the card (including prompts and outputs) and are able to rewrite or change any information.
Hide Prompt: Users can run the card and see its output, but they cannot view the original prompt inside the card.
Hide Prompt and Output: Users can only run the card, but they cannot see the original prompt or the generated output within the card itself. This is useful for black-boxing complex operations.
